It was a friendly competition on the set of the epic Sherlock Holmes movie, as both Jude Law and Robert Downey Jr. looked for opportunities to steal scenes throughout filming. Based on early feedback from pre-screening audiences around the world, it appears that Downey fought Law, but Law won.

Still a memorable performance by both actors in a non-stop action picture nestled in and around old London, the cinematography and screenplay played perfectly to the strengths of both actors. The script called for frequent physical action sequences mixed with quick witted verbal repartee, and both actors delivered to the audiences expectations, though once again Law remained perhaps a bit more memorable.

Law's dashing good looks and strength of delivery carried his presence to the front of the scene each time, overshadowing Downey Junior's performance. Downey's personal assistant was aware of the difference in performance during filming. "Normally Robert is on top of every scene, prepared and energized, but he's been feeling poorly for months", says Carmen Ghia. "I don't understand what is wrong".

Law dismissed any thoughts of there being a competition at all, telling reporters of his deepest respect for Downey. Though Spoof insiders theorize a slightly more sinister backdrop to this play, finding evidence of chocolate laxatives and brownie mix all over Law's trailer. Downey Jr. is widely known for his love of brownies.

"Come to think of it", Ghia says, "Robert was constantly running back and forth to the potty all throughout shooting".

During one exchange with reporters, Downey praised Law for his focus on partnership and work ethic. "Jude was wonderful to work with, and his brownies are literally the best shit I've ever had."
