LOS ANGELES - Sometime Hollywood comedic actor but full-time epicurean, Dom DeLuise, has died, but not before relieving himself of a really grand fart, "...one that must have been percolating deep within his bowels for weeks, if not months," states a friend.
"Many people go out with a wimper," stated the friend, "...but Dom, by God, went out with a bang, and a rather odiferous one at that. It's remarkable, too, how he managed to hold on to his faculties right to the end."
Asked which of Mr. DeLuise's performances stood out most for him, the friend stated that, without a doubt, it was this final breathtaking, soul-sucking performance at the Mount Sinai Hospital.
"Yes. This was the essence of Dom," concluded the friend.
"A lot of actors are remembered for their dramatic works, which, in the grand scheme, is quite a small part of their lives. Dom will be remembered primarily for his off-screen pursuits, by that I mean his constant yet particularly judicious propagation of methane."
"And now, all we have left is a partially eaten pastrami sandwich with a side of slaw and some Russian dressing. Alas, we are all too mortal."
