BBCs rotund survival expert, Ray Mears is reported to have been approached by channel 4 to make a special series "Ray Mears meets the Diet Doctors"
At first, Mears, (22), declined to do it but his concerned Mum said;
"Raymond! Raymond! You're supposed to be a survival expert aren't you? Well surely you can SURVIVE this?"
"But Maam, you know I hate lentils and cous cous!"
"I know sweetie, but you are getting a big boy now." As she tugged his flabby cheeks. "It's only for four weeks and then you can go back onto your 'wild' food. Just four weeks - go on do it for your Old Mumsie." She pleaded.
"OK Mum" Ray said "I suppose we need the money!"
