In what Tom Hanks described as "A miracle", the sea faring Wilson, who was tragically dislodged from his raft in the movie "Castaway," and given up for dead, has washed ashore near Naples, Florida. After nearly seven years his journey has been a long one, but his supporting actor Tom Hanks is happy he and his fun loving volleyball are again together.
When notified of the remarkable rescue, Hanks flew to Naples on a FedEx jet so he could "Be again together at last with my consort, I mean companion." He continued by saying "Wendy, I mean Wilson, was such a comforting partner during my five years on the island, and she, I mean he provided some exciting companionship and stimulation."
When informed by Wilson/Wendy's rescue and Hanks words, Helen Hunt, Hanks fiancée in the movie said "I always thought that f**k**g volleyball had done him so many times is the real reason he didn't want to come back to me earlier. He and that little tramp deserve each other."
