Ofcom today announced a ban which stipulated that John Barrowman must commit to more Torchwood appearances before accepting any other invitations to be on Celebrity based shows.
Ofcom stated that Barrowman had been 'whoring himself out' to any chat show and quiz show in order to earn a celebrity status which was not yet earned.
Barrowman was unable to comment today as his agent revealed that he was travelling down to the ITV studio's to appear in 'Art Attack', a children's art learning programme.
Ofcom also questioned Barrowmans need to 'come out', questioning the sexual preference of the 38 year old. The Ofcom report stated that his television profile was in fact made up to assist in his quest for fame. Despite Barrowman claiming to be a 'raging homo' (his own words) it is said that he has a wife of 12 years whom he shares a three year old daughter with.
An Ofcom spokesman said "We will be writing to Mr John Barrowman asking him to explain why he has been touring TV shows without the required celebrity status".
