London - (Rioters): Spoof satirist Fergus McCarthy has won this year's Pulitzer prize for friction.
The 73-year-old wins $10,000 (£5,000) for his 17th Spoof posting 'Corrs sisters bare all for Playboy' which follows a father and son's tale of sorrow and destruction as they
struggle to survive in a post-topless world following the global collapse of Playboy magazine.
Speaking from the Spoof satire site today McCarthy bemoaned the paltry $10,000 cheque saying that at $2 to the £ it was hardly worth his crossing the Atlantic to collect the prize.
McCarthy has been called, inter alia, a very reclusive writer and is rumored to hold a loyal cult audience.
He has received massive critical acclaim and the latest developments for his Corrs bare breasted tragedy may have really thrust him into a much wider spotlight "as one of the best boob job writers today."
Some websites are saying that McCarthy has been picked by Oprah Winfrey for her book club push-up bra freebie giveaway with this month's top five best sellers.
Commenting on the unique marketing technique, McCarthy could only quote from his latest Spoof posting:
"If that dirty ould eejit wants to give us 2 million each to flash our diddies for a couple of hours then why the hell not."
The prize-giving ceremony will be held next week.
