Derek Acorah, the only TV psychic whose name rhymes with a tasty Indian snack, is said to be teaming up with Celebrity Big Brother contestant, Shilpa Shetty and bringing a new prime-time show to our TV screens.
'Wooo! are you mate?' Is a new concept that takes that thing about ancestors the BBC did and that ITV has now ripped-off and gives it a new twist.
The concept is that Del will contact famous figures who have 'passed over' and take them on a fascinating journey where they explore their past.
The Spoof understands that a pilot is already 'in the can' and the subject is none other than Charles Dickens.
He told us:
"This is a new type of show that fuses my usual bluffing and some total load of shit and comes up with something that we think is a fantastic new genre. Charles Dickens is a fascinating guy who wrote a lot of books so the show has an educational remit too"
We asked where Shilpa fitted in to things.
"Well she's a tidy boiler and has a high profile at the moment so quite honestly it's pure opportunism on both our parts. If it goes well then we may introduce a cooking segment and Shilpa could cook our guests a curry or teach them some Bollywood dancing. Can you just imagine Julius Caesar having a lamb madras or pratting about or something like that?"
When asked about the whereabouts of former perky Blue Peter presenter, Yvette Fielding, he refused to be drawn.
