Tony Parker's Ex-Wife Eva Longoria Says She's Never Stopped Being A San Antonio Spurs Fan

Funny story written by Abel Rodriguez

MIAMI - The first game of the best of seven series in the NBA Finals saw the down-to-Earth San Antonio Spurs beat the circus-flavored Miami Heat 92-88.

King James showed the nation-wide audience that one man is not going to beat the fundamental guys from San Antonio who share the ball and play team basketball.

Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and the rest of the Spurs get the job done without all of the loud fanfare, boisterous bragging, and look-at-me y'all attitude that the Heat seem to feed on.

Coach Popovich keeps his fine-tuned machine in perfect shape by simply knowing that he has the respect of everyone on the team.

It is hard not to like the Spurs who play basketball the way it is meant to be played - with the desire to strive to be the best one can be.

And proof of that is the fact that Hollywood actress Eva Longoria who was once married to Spurs guard Tony Parker still prides herself in saying that she is a Spurs fan.

Most wives who divorce their sports husbands usually end up badmouthing them as well as the team they play for.

But not Eva, the woman who was named Miss Corpus Christi before she left for the bright lights, says that after her divorce she thought that maybe she would become an L.A. Lakers fan but after watching Kobe Bryant yell, scream, and holler at his players during one game was enough for her to say "No way José."

SIDENOTE: Eva said that the actresses who appeared with her on Desperate Housewives are all pulling for the Spurs. It seems that they just don't like the "I'm the king and you're my subjects" attitude of LeBron "King" James, who may end up looking more like the joker as the Finals move on.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
