New York, Today,. Banana Republic instituted a new policy to create more dependable employees.
The company has learned over the years through it's human resources department that: if embarrased severly enough employees tend to not repeat the same careless mistakes.
"Bobby the Banana", is the charcter our people came up with to dissuede employees from silly, preventable mistakes like being late or under charging for items.
The offending person gets to wear the, 'Bobby the Banana", suit for their entire shift. Other workers are required to yell, Don't be a Bobby, every time the suit comes by.
We've had a drastic reduction in errors since instituting the Bobby program and are considering doing this in all our divisions said one company rep.
When employees of Banana Republic were polled there was a resounding negative reaction to Bobby
