OK I looked at it. Not sure about the Goon Show comparison. The Goon Show had better pictures as well as better sound effects.

Interesting though - things like the Goon Show were so good because people were reacting to the War years. These days it's harder to find a similar target I suppose.

But looking at the state of the world, actually it should be pretty easy to find targets and produce amazing comedy, you would think, as there is no shortage of hellishness out there. Maybe it's too hellish to make humour about.
