Welcome to my thread about crap. Not just any kind of crap, but real crap. But wait! There are lot's of types of real crap. This is true. This is a thread devoted to animal crap! (Not human crap....that's been covered in an entirely different thread.)

I'll begin todays offering with Bird Crap:


Many of you know my story of all the times birds have crapped on my head. I don't have any pictures to share, but I found this photo album devoted to bird crap. Several months before my brother died, I washed my car and then birds crapped all over my car. I called him to tell him about the complete crapfest on my Nissan Sentra, and we laughed for a long time recalling all my bird crap incidents. It's true now that every time a bird craps on my car, I smile and look at the heavens and laugh and say, "You made this happen, didn't you? You made this pelican let loose on my car?"

It needs to be said, my car looked worse than the car in the album above!

What I didn't know was the bird crap could be a real luxury! In New York, people spend $50 for bird crap facials! Good thing Iain doesn't live in New York! You would have to pay me more than $50 to have a beauty professional spread bird crap on my face!

Now for those of you wanting to know which bird crapped on your car as you're driving....you might want to check out this book! I know I wanted to check it out. I bought that book a long time ago as a joke for a friend.

I grew up on a farm and so I'm very familiar with horse crap and bovine crap. The horse crap smells like hay when it's dried. The bovine crap can be use for frisbees when it is dried up. The Horse apples, (as we call them here state side) are also fun to throw at friends when dried up, nasty when fresh....

Horse shit is interesting. Did you know, that a small insulated abode can be formed from horse shit? No!

Get down to your local stable and ask for supplies.

How about bat guano! There is a cave in southwest Missouri where newlyweds go where the guano is now several meters thick. Not sure why the newly weds go there, could explain our high divorce rate.

I was too tired last night to write about bat guano. Will do it tonight.

I didn't know you could make a shelter from horse crap. Makes sense though. And if it smells like hay when it's dry....then not too bad I guess. Wouldn't want to construct it though because I imagine it would still be wet first in order for the structure to be made properly.

Did you know, that a medium sized boat can be crafted from flea shit? No! shake your dog or cat out into a basin and wait for fleas to deficate. There you have it!
