It's just me and 206 anonymous readers. Can't you hear the echo? IainB was here a while ago but he was in a quiet mood or can afford the electricity just to turn on his computer for the hell of it.

Me, I'm summoning the courage to capture the cats and stick them in a cage for transport today. It's the 'Day of the long gloves'. I came down this morning to find the chicken carcase on the floor in the kitchen so it's hopeless trying to give them their homeopathic tranquiliser and I'm certainly not going to do it manually!

If I get the cage out they'll disappear. Only a cat can disappear in an empty house.

I see Ellis's missus has turfed him out of bed so hello Ellis how are you and the 183 readers now on site?

Up with a stinking cold, I'm afraid Lynton. But I'm always around early - certainly on work days, when I'm in the office and sneakily doing some early approving at 6.30am.

Good luck with les chats, mate!

Our cat is a hero, he attacks the Great Dane from strategic points around the house. The Dane tries to out flank him but gets his nose wolloped.

The two Staffies have built a no go area in the kitchen.

We had a smashing tortie called Theakston.

She didn't survive the London traffic very long when we moved down here. We've always kind of felt responsible.

Bit of an anti climax that came good as gold and now 2h a lot of noise and rain,a quick stop at Carrefour (I forgot their litter tray)and 70 miles later they've been hiding behind the sofa and one has only just decided it might safe to come out. Sensitive to any noise she shoots back into shelter.

At least they have their familiar furniture with scratches and their scent on it. Couple of days and they'll be ruling the place.
