I have a picture of cart drawn by horse.

Is it valuable?

Doc, it sounds to me that you're putting the art before the horse.

Equines are generally unable to paint owing to their hooves.

Perhaps these clues will assist you in identifying the magnum opus and its worth...

Tell me - does the painting feature a policeman?

If so, it's undoubtedly a Constable.

Are there any cigarette butts incongruously scattered somewhere within the picture?

If so, it's a Stubbs.

Is the artwork abstract perchance? Composed of wild splashes and whirls of colour?

If so, it's Pollock's.

Hope this has been of help ol' chap.

The horse is dead so this usually helps the value

Having a dead horse draw a cart makes it bit of a still life

Can't see them making a movie out of it

Nanette, the woman who does things around the house, draws the curtains each evening.

If I'm lucky she will sometimes draw them on a Sunday afternoon.

If I'm really lucky, she sometimes draws me a bath as well.

Is it signed by VVG? If yes, yes

Tracy Emin modelled 'My Bed' or 'Bed' or whatever the fuck it's called on mine and Mrs Skoob's.

True that.

Ish...

I have a priceless work of art; it's one of those wide-eyed Gipsy children with a teardrop running down its cheek last seen down Peckham way.

If it is one of those black velvet ones I would keep it.

I have one of bulldogs playing cards.

Hmmm.

As the lighting cameramen of Pinewood are wont to say: "I fink yer floggin' un cheval mort 'ere mate..."

...it's a fine art stretching velvet...best left to a gynocologist
And not a proctologist who mounts fish for a hobby!

Met a lady in Talkeetna who says she remembers you ....intimately!

...she's a world class musher....with a slight gum problem...

Back from the North Morse - how was Nanuk? Don't worry about the lady's gums vic, they only have to suck on seal blubber, and I'm told she might be pretty good at soothing frostbite.

Glad you got back to find your house in one piece
