For those of you who are running out of words here is a free link to an erudite Word-A-Day site that I enjoy.

Most words are used but in good condition and quite serviceble for continued use for some time now.

This week's words are, it tells me:

claque, ululate and susurrus

That's a fine firm of solicitors.

Erskin

I thought you might appreciate some of the more arcane words.

People must have been devilishly clever way back when to come up with such tortured ways of saying things that we can't be bothered with today.

Some interesting feedback from readers, tempted to cut and paste some commentary into heated debates here to throw things awry.

Ululate is that trilling sound Arab women make when they celebrate something.

Not too common around these parts.

My absolute favorite word of all time:
FECKLESS (sounds dirty to the person you've just insulted)

Most hated word of all time:
IRREGARDLESS (Because it is not a word. Actually some dictionaries have added the bastard word because of its fairly regular American usage)

Favorite word learned from you disturbed bast@rds:
ONANIST (Had to look it up from one of your headlines then realized that whoever wrote the thing, spends far too much time alone, in the dark, with their browsers open. Zip up those browsers, dag nabit. Heh, Heh.)

Not to mention Mongolian throat-singing.

Too late...

trouble is claque and ululate tend to drown out susurrus

PM sentences you never hear and certainly would never act upon

1. 'Give the Onanist a hand!'
