Spidernet. Definition: Named the worlds first net through participation with the government and Unix hacking hero Dr. Digital of San Diego, California. Spidernet was the original and first net before being renamed to Arpanet by the son of an IT government employee before testing the first functional network. Spidernet was taken from a blackwidow design on a black long sleeved shirt with a large red blackwidow spider on the back. The first functional net called Spidernet was never an auctual net and through tradition, Arpanet followed along in its path. Spidernet. Operation Red Sand.
