Personally, I start these threads not because I like idle chittering but in a - no doubt futile - attempt to express my love of the absurd, the non-sequitur, the anti-thread, the surreal.

Not because I like lots of tittering chitter chatter.

Wickerwork fire buckets and John Snagge were references to The Goon Show.

I thought that was pertinent to a "comedy" website. Just a little bit relevant.

I know where you are coming from however, and it is true that these threads could be misused, misinterpreted.
