I apologise if I come across as some miserable moaning sort, but was this thread really worth starting, or, for that matter, contributing to, other than to draw people's attention to how much of a waste of time and space it is?

The forum seems to be full of this sort of thing at the moment. Perhaps that's why JB wasn't bothered anymore, and Fergus is such an infrequent visitor these days.

John Snagge - commentator on athletics that only people of a certain age would remember - typical of the sort of subject EQ deals with.

WSo what d'ya want to talk about? The gold standard?
