Those who apply it would stoop also to Argumentum ad baculum no doubt.

Me I prefer Argumentum ad logicum one has to assume that the majority are reasonable people.

However, there ere some non-fallacious examples of Argumentum ad Baculum

e.g.

If you drive while drunk, you will punished.
You want to avoid punishment.
Therefore you should not drive while drunk.

The best of all arguments is

Argumentum ad inebrium

e.g.

Fuck the lot of you
I'm off down the pub
