Man and web-footed Portugese Water Dog in perfect harmony.

The loyal Portugese Water Dog makes an excellent companion. With a long memory for the names of objects, it would be an ideal family member to tackle the Generation Game conveyor belt challenge (though it has been known to eschew fondue sets and cuddly toys).

However, since the Generation Game is no longer on TV, the whole Portugese Water Dog-conveyor belt thing is a bit of a non-starter.

They are lovely dogs to have on board a trawler though. Ask any Portugese fisherman of your acquaintance.

Well I asked a Portugese fisherman friend of mine, Bnugng Brannhecl, and he has such a dog. He told me the only problem is finding the specialized food his dog needs.

The dog will only eat virgin beef, virgin mutton and fresh gravy made by Mongolese women with two left feet.

He fears for his dog's life because of his picky eating habits.

Can anyone out there help my friend and his dog?

The Generation Game reached its peak under Larry Grayson.

As did many a roving Portugese sailor, no doubt, with or without a companionable Water Dog.

Bugger the Generation Game?

What are you trying to insinuate about Larry now?

What if the virgin mutton is got up as lamb?

Would that fool him?

(Bnugng Brannhecl? That's a funny name for a Portugese fisherman)

Well, when I last watched the Generation Game...in England..Bruce Foreskin was the 'host'.

You can't dress mutton up as lamb....you just have to take one look at ME in real life and know that it doesn't fool anyone. Not even my Portugese friend's dog is fooled.
