A woman faces 25 years in jail and a $500,000 fine if found guilty of treating a 17-year-old illegal immigrant as a slave - making him work and starving him.

Lucinda Shackleford allegedly forced Carlos Alberto Montes Salvador to clean her 60-yard trailer yard and is accused of withholding his birth certificate - crime tantamount to slave trafficking.

Mrs Shackleford, from Charlotte in North Carolina, denies any wrong-doing, and contests that the teen was about to turn 18 at the time she was reported.

A lot of people have been making wisecracks about the President of the United States not having a birth certificate.

You know what, I think I found the original copy when I opened up a pack of Topps chewing gum and there it was.

On the back it said he batted 300 in the minor leagues before being called up to the White House.

I was hoping for an Alberto Pujols rookie card, boy was I dissapointed.
