"Dandy" Don Meredith has died according to 'Buletin' on sports page.

Don was an early quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys but was known to many as one of the original announcers on "Monday Night Football". He and Howard Cosell were hilarious.

A Football Legend to older football fans.

"Glory Days" as Bruce Springsteen would say.

Meredith and Cosell would be arguing while Frank Gifford announced the play by play.

Meredith full of jokes about the game and Cosell talking bullshit about everything else but football...usually Mohammed Ali!!

No commercial time-outs. No replays for the officials.

Sorry to hear that lads. I didn't know of him but I read your posts this morning and the news came on in the car when Mr. G. was driving tonight (with me in the car)...I said I'd read the news here...and he realized who the person was, though I didn't.

Sounds like a VERY BIG loss from what I hear and read.

Dandy Don's presence was pervasive at Foxboro last night as the Pats Beat the Jets big time and definitely not in a gay way. Did a story this morning
on the game and Don.
