Apparently in Qatar in 2022 they've promised climate controlled stadia because the summertime temp often reaches 50 degrees C.

Which will of course have no effect on fans sweating their bollocks off on buses and trains getting to the venues.

Don't get me wrong on this, I'm not bitter because England's bid didn't win - it's that Russia and Qatar did. It beggars belief. Russia's football history is tarnished by extreme violence and rampant racism, and Qatar hardly has any kind of football heritage.

So Russia is better equipped to host a tournament than Barcelona? Real Madrid? Manchester United? Arsenal? Wembley?

Do me a favour.

So basically, the World Cup's going to the Arctic Wastelands: a place where there are no stadiums whatsoever, to a country which is so hot even the cactuses and camels complain.
