(I am assuming the title of the thread is They Changed the World...or is it really Wold...in which case, I haven't a bloody clue what this thread is about.

Shouldn't it have an 's' on the end then.............?

It wouldn't have worked though then though.

Whereas, without an s, it was a roaring success (or should that be succes?).

Plus I believe that the wold is a single entity, separated by the estuary (you can't take the 'es' off the beginning of that, or you'd be left with 'tuary', which would make no sense, and that would not befit the erudition and academic rigour inherent in the very concept of this thread).
