A timelike homotopy.

Finally! Someone who understands! A fellow homotopic. We are all the same because the molecule remains the same (including stereochemically) when the groups are interchanged with the remaining parts of the molecule fixed.

Much aggrieved that you can't post formulae on this forum. It's obviously not a formula-friendly forum. That's bad form, whatever form it takes. Particularly when it comes to the study of forms.

I'd start with an equivalence relation on X

whose equivalence classes are pairs of antipotal points.

From there it should be a gas to see that the real projective plane is homeomorphic to the quotient space of X..
