Fairly exciting final race, very exciting season. Very pleased to see Alonso stuck behind Petrov; best race of his career IMHO, coz he's pants normally.
Shame Mark couldn't pull it off, but he was starting to annoy me a bit with the whole "Woe is me I'm a second driver" line. It got old too quick. Still, it was a shame because I think he was the most deserving. After the race, I was left wondering why Red Bull had brought Mark in to the pits when they did because they should have known that there were drivers in the middle of the pack who had already stopped. I was also surprised that they didn't bring Mark in when the safety car was deployed. At the time I said "Mark should pit now." But they didn't listen to me. Idiots! Anyway, from a purely conspiracy theorist POV, if Red Bull had engineered Mark to end up stuck behind the middle-men, with a view to causing Ferrari to cover the move, it worked out perfectly. There was no reason, as far as I recall, that Fernando should have pitted; he seemed, as did Massa, to be driving confidently on the soft tyres, same as Lewis, Jenson and Vettel. Hey, ho. All's well that ends well. Overall I would have been most happy if Mark had won, middling happy if Lewis had pulled off the impossible, and upset if Fernando won. As it turns out, I'm pleased that Vettel won, although I'm not a fan. (If you have no idea what this is about, please, ignore.) |

Pretty much share your sentiments Mark.
Am working on a review of Abu D and the whole season...plenty to get my 'teeth' into ![]() PS Don't forget that the SC and the first round stops that fooked up Webbo and Alonso were all triggered by a 'mistake' by... er.... guess who!! Tee-hee. |
