I know how much Jesus Budda likes to indulge himslef in a lovely, hot cup of tea, and so my heart jangled when I read this rather interesting story on the BBC earlier:

No mention of any biscuits, though...

It contains the equivalent of 32,000 normal cups of tea!

Admittedly by the time I'd manage one or two cups the pot would be cold.

Still, it was nice of them to share it all with Peter Falk (Columbo).

Its nice to be nice (especially where tea is involved)

"The mixture was then slowly pumped into the mug - which had a capacity of about 32,000 normal cups - until it was full, he adds."

The world's longest yawn also probably occurred somewhere along the line.

Totally agree SFO

Woods and Budda need to get their respective acts together or they'll never make it through to the 'live' rounds.

Tea and fucking biscuits indeed...

What a load of old shite.

Regards

Skoob.

In loving memory of me dear old Nan and me treasured Aunty Molly who'd boot you up the arse as soon as look at you. Tea and fucking biscuits...makes one think the whole feckin' world's gone a bit gay...

Strange you should say that, Skoob.

I was reading some Cobbett the other day, and he professed that tea-drinking was to be frowned upon, but he was coming at it from a 'health risk' angle.

I drink at least four cups of tea a day.

JB, how many cups can you handle?

I drink a mug of tea in the morning, a mug of tea around 12, a mug of tea around 5, two mugs of tea around 8 and then that's my tea drinking done for the day.

Anything else you'd like to know?

Yes, is it true that you're Gay Larry?

Personally, I don't think you are. The stories are so badly written -even for you! - that I think there is a mischief-maker out there somewhere using you as a scapegoat.

What thinkest thou of this suggestion?

Off for a cuppa.

May I chime in? I am a tea addict. I drink tea from the time I get up to the time I go to bed. I have to mix half reg/half decaf because I drink so much.

I don't know what I would do without a good cup of tea. In the summer it is iced. In the winter it is hot.

I also think that restaurants discriminate against tea drinkers. When you go to breakfast in America, you get the "bottomless cup of coffee." But when ordering hot tea, you get a measly small pot of hot water, one tea bag and a small cup. That doesn't seem quite fair.

While we are on the subject, flavored teas, while lovely, are not really tea. Tea is tea. Black tea is tea. Period.

I think everyone now knows who they are dealing with.

I absolutely agree with you on this, C93!

When I used to go into Dunkin Donuts, and order a cup of hot tea, the girl would put about half a cupful of hot water in with the tea bag, then hand it to me. I looked at her and told her to put some more in:

"Sai nam rorn ik noi si krup!"

That did the trick. Stupid bitch. But she couldn't resist playing the 'Stupid Card' and asking me what it tasted like if the cup was full! Honestly!

Agreed once more. But I would classify all those products as a collective abomination.

I think you can safely say that!

I like that tea that comes in cans. It's yellowish with loads of bubbles on top. Stella tea or Grolsch tea. You have to be a bit careful though because if you drink too many cups of it, you end up bouncing off the wall and fall ing flat on your face. Or walking into lamp posts and stuff.

Speaking of which - I'm getting a thirst on.

Just popping off up the shop for some tins of tea.

Regards

It's all news to me.
People these days will get in under your toenails and scratch about if you give them the chance.

Which I sometimes do, admittedly.
