I submitted an article to the VentnorBlog on The Isle of Wight and they posted it.

Doc

I got too much to deal with right now - but I promise I'll catch up with it.

Fighting for my very existence right now.

Don't start stretching the fish.

Get well soon.

It was the truth I was stretching.

A little goes a long way.

Quite an excellent thing Victor. Congratulations! Now if they would just pay you for your fine writing...

Seems only fair.

Awhile ago Charpa brought up the Paddlesworth Press and thought it may have been influenced by The Isle of Wight News that writers here contributed to.

I contacted them and asked if they were aware of TheSpoof.com and The Isle of Wight News segments.

"Thanks very much for your interest in the paddlesworth press. I am absolutely flattered that you think our newspaper was influenced by the Isle of Wight News because the stuff looks very good and I wish I'd have
known of it before.

However, I hadn't come across it, I'm afraid. The Paddlesworth Press grew out of a lot of drunken chats and some hard work.

We are horribly ignorant of other satirical newspapers and hope that this doesn't hold us back too
much.

Keep up the good work,"

Funny, Victor wasn't looking to them for fake praise, he was looking to keep the record straight and some validation for a good idea and good stories. They obviously do have their noses up their bums. We know the truth.

True Charpa,

I just asked if they were aware of the IOWN stories that so many contributed to here.

I went to the trouble of checking out the Paddlesworth Press.

Time would better be spent reading Isle of Wight News here on TheSpoof, the calibre of writing is much better.

I think I'll check it out. I already know that I'll most likely agree with you though. Some very clever writers reside right here on this most excellent site.
