So, through personal choice I decided to cut down on drinking alcohol. I don't feel any better. I'm certainly no richer. I have not set foot in my local pub for a month and a bit now.

Anyway, I woke up this morning to the news that there has been a record fall in alcohol consumption in the UK recently.

Was I really drinking that much before, for them to notice??

Nick,

Have a pint. That'll sort it. I've tried all this 'going on the wagon' malarkey - it's rubbish.

I'm with Frank out of 'Shameless' on this one.

Skoob.

I have not had an alcoholic drink since April 25th.

For the first few weeks I still used to wake up with hangovers.

I do not feel any healthier for it, however I am quite an expert on the various flavours of J2O..............

Birb: during our Winchester meet we all toasted you with a shot of
Niquil.....not bad, but CJ's nose kept running....I think it was a Paris Hilton
Problem...not serious, just a recreational thing....Skoob stuck his thumb in the shot glass and it seemed to reduce swelling somewhat....

The way I see it, being an alcoholic is as much down to location as how much you drink.

For example: drinking half a bottle of vodka a day in Surrey would make you an alcoholic. Drinking the same amount in Newcastle makes you a soft southern shandy drinker, and virtually tea-total. Aye pet?

I haven't drank in a long time.
And I'm now very thirsty.

But seriously, I've stayed off alcohol for a good bit since 'the incident'.
From now on it's liquid methadone or nuthin'.

You'd have loved the meet ups birb.

I didn't hijack a bus in London because I had the wife with me, but I was 'there' in spirit, so to speak.

There'll be another time, I'm sure, and I look forward to it.

Regards

Skoob.
