I remember a dream I had, where I was chatting to a country fellow leaning on a five-barred gate with a piece of straw in his mouth.

He told me he grew oak trees for a living - but because it takes a long time to grow an oak tree, he made novelty rabbit hutches out of acorns, painstakingly glued together, and sold them on.

Anybody else enjoy weird dreams?

Regards

Skoob.

yep. Weirdest one I've ever had I'll never forget. Was driving along a country road when I saw pigs walking down a trench. As they got to the front of the trench, they sprouted wings, one-by-one, and flew into the air to giant beehives in the sky. The beehives had openings and the pigs would fly inside.

that's it.

That's a lovely dream Charpa. Where do you get the mescalin?

For a while I kept dreaming I had murdered somebody. It was awful. I haven't murdered anybody, by the way.

They say it means you are killing part of yourself.

That's a comfort.

Hah, mescaline. yes, of course.

No, I interpreted it to mean that I was going to get whatever I was hoping for at the time "when pigs fly!"

I once read The Interpretation of Dreams by Sigmund Freud.

Not the book. Just the title! Ha ha.

I did read bits of it actually. It's a cracker.

Dozing the other afternoon and woken by the phone - Mrs L needs picking up from the shops. Promptly went back to sleep and woke during a dream where I was being chased by a Lion!!

When I woke I couldn't remember if it was morning or whe it was except that I knew the wife had phoned - but how long ago?

Rushed over to the shops in the car and found her just about to go find a phone after waiting an hour and a half. I hope by the time she goes home tomorrow she'll be speaking to me - however, tonight I bet I have a dream just like Charpa's!

Apparently you need to focus on the underlying emotions as well as the pictures.

Pictures are the manifest content. Underlying feelings are the latent content.

Not that you are aware of. You may have been dreaming whilst sleepwalking, actually murdered someone, and hidden the body.

Can you tell us how and where you murdered the person? In the 'dream', I mean.

Sorry, no. All I can remember is the dreadful, oppressive sense of guilt and the feeling that something was irretrievably ruined. I felt like that bloke, what's his name, - the fugitive, moving from place to place, belonging nowhere. A Kafkaesque sense of existential doom.

But enough about my day to day life. Of the dream itself, I remember very little.

Ho ho.

I once dreamed that my mouth had been shit in by a cat while I was asleep. When I woke up, it had been.

I saw a tow-truck today with another smaller tow-truck on top of it.

It wasn't a dream though.

VN, and the rest of you beautiful dreamers...

I dreamed that I was stuck on the road with my ex-wife who was telling me how to get the car started, but we had no car. Then Richard Nixon told me to get my ass in gear and buy him 50,000 more votes. Then Skoob grew a penis. Way to go Skoob!

I have had dreams where I have killed somebody Erskin Quint and yes the guilt and fear was palpable when I awoke.
Then there are the dreams where I am being chased by something,I don't know what but I make damn sure that I am awake before it catches up with me!
Then there are the dreams you have when you know you are dreaming but you can't wake up. I dreamt once that I was suddenly in hospital and I tried to wake up only it was real and not a dream, at least I hope it wasn't a dream because if it was I am still dreaming it now.
God, that is a frightening thought.
