A MAN who underwent a sex change has been barred from joining the police because rules say male cops must have "at least one functioning testicle".

Thomas Dahner was rejected in the final stage of his application after docs asked to see his particulars - and found none.

He had passed all physical tests and exams with ease but his bid to join the force hit the buffers when, during his medical examination, medics discovered his genitals were fakes

It probably depends on WHAT he's advertising!

If true it is ludicrous, and unfair and will probably net him/her a sack of compensation

I hope the man DOES get a pile of compesation. He can do his job just as well without his appendages. I'm assuming they have women police over there? There's your argument then! Well, end of discussion I mean.

I went to join the police once, and they turned me down because I'm only 4'11"

Why should this individual get special treatment?

It isn't fair on the criminals. It's deceitful. Some cornered crook might have tried to kick him/her in the bollocks, and it wouldn't have the desired effect.

That would just be cheating.

You'd 'get in now' being 4' 11" but your age might be a problem....You'd have a case for discrimination though.

One-legged Asian women, with 'dwarfism'(even those over 65) who were born as men and have very low IQ's and BO, can get jobs anywhere these days.

It's called 'inclusiveness'! That is the 'buzz' word lately.
