Here in the UK, two toddlers have been killed by automatic gates in the last seven days.

can't believe they didn't have a kick off like garage door openers with a light beam....sure don't make sense to me!

Probably the same people who leave french windows open so foxes can get in to mutilate their kids

They don't have 'screens' in England. I've never seen any. Great invention and I don't know why it hasn't caught on 'over 'ome with all the flies and bleeding wasps coming in the windows and doors.

If someone starts making them and selling them, they be millionaires in no time. I'm too bloody lazy to give it a go myself.

There are some neighbourhoods where Iron bars are more appropriate and on some estates they find that it is better with no screens because it allows the flies to get out of the houses!

That's what fly swatters are for.

I was visiting my mam in Middlesbrough and it showed on telly a village where people moved OUT of their houses because flies overtook the village. This is true. It was a few years back mind.

I am too lazy to bother swatting the buggers. My husband has a shotgun but it makes big holes in the wall when I shoot a fly, so he has told be to stop.

In fact, he has hidden the cartidges from me.
