Anybody got a better idea than penalties? After a rare game like Uruguay Ghana I think a tossed coin would be better.
Ghana ran all over them - athletic, courageous intelligent and inspired, shame it ended like that. |

Great shame for Gyan. After the last round he said he was "the happiest man in the world"; now look at him.
Penalties put a dreadful load of pressure on the individual takers - but what's the alternative? Terrible for Ghana - but we've all been there. Love the way Ghana play - but the naivety at key times lets them down. As you say, they were superior in many ways. Hopefully African football can carry on developing. Also, Suarez is a great player but also a diving git and it's a shame that he can profit in this way. |
