If it isn't bad enough having to put up with the bloody noise of those vuvu things every time I turn on the footy, I've now got to put up with the sound of helicopters hovering over a major fire on the edge of the village.

Local company 'Solvents with Safety' has gone up in smoke, not a particularly good advert, methinks.......

Reminds me of the paramedics called out to help the pervert who had stuck his arse up with superglue.

They came to a sticky end.

As had the pervert's perverted boyfriend.

I'll get me coat.

I was sitting in the back garden a couple of summers back, having a beer and reading the paper when the Red Arrows zoomed overhead at about 500 feet.

Nearly shit meself I did.

Have you been asked to go inside and close the windows? "Just as a precaution"?

That happened when the local chemical plant got hit by lightning and blew up a huge silo of solvent near us. That was a big bang, I'm telling you.

I've been past your village many a time on the way to Gainsborough to watch footy. I recognised the company name - I was stuck behind one of their trucks turning right....

I checked on Google Street View, and it all seems to be under control now. No sign of a fire.

We were told to keep windows and doors shut, but I don't like to smoke in the house so I had to go against the advice.

Didn't have to light many tabs last night though.

Still it's all blown over now.

Talking of google street view, if you pan up past my house you can see some bloke coming out and getting into his car.

My bin is out, in the photo, so it must have been a Tuesday.
Mind you, I can't see anyone else's, so maybe it was a signal the ex used to use to show it was safe to come a-knocking............
