not such a popular thread as I thought it would be, nevermind, here's my new tip for the quarterfinals:

A)Germany A v Germany B
B)Deutschland A v Deutschland B
C)Espaná A v Espaná B
D)Spain A v Spain B

All other contenders please don't bother, why don't we just give it to them?

Hello there, Jaggedone.

From what I've seen so far, Germany played best football, Argentina were ok except when it came to scoring goals, Holland were ok (like the look of that young chap Elia - I think thats his name is), Ghana at least tried...

But overall, Germany were the best team to play yet.

Not much excitement yet.
That fucking ball is crap. One little tap and it travels a mile. Maybe they'll get used to it as the games go on.
Maybe not.

Spain still to come (oo-er!), God only knows how Itlay will play and I'm hoping Ivory Coast do something mad. Brazil will do what they do but I have my eye on North Korea. I'm praying Kim Jong iL will make an appearance.
They could go all the way. Home.

England are shit. Really bad.
Score a goal and sit back? Whats that about?
Poor old Jamie Carragher is going to die if he comes on again. Poor lad's head was so red and swollen after USA game I thought it was gonna pop.

Still can't rule out Monkey Woods' fancied team Honduras either. Could be a dark horse. Or a pony.

JB, where have you been, dead, or just playing dead? Nice to have you back and I mostly agree with your spot-on analysis!

There's a spoof there ripe for the picking.

JAMIE CARRAGHER'S HEAD BURSTS AT ALTITUDE.

Or something like that. Feel free.

Regards

Skoob.

Anyone watch the games today?

Ivory Coast should have beaten Portugal.
And did anyone else notice how both those teams could control the new ball?
Ronaldo struck a great free kick that hit the post, and the Ivory Coast (or Cote d'Ivoire as they prefer me to call them in private, away from prying eyes who would scorn our doomed romantic liaisons)acted like the ball was stuck to their feet!

Everyone else in the competition (apart from Germany and possibly Argentina) are really struggling with it.

And well done New Zealand fro getting the draw with those boring bastards Slovakia in the 93rd minute.
Hooray for you!
You're still shit at football, but you've got a good heart. Or a pigs heart.
Well, whatever. If it does the trick and keeps ticking then you should keep it either way.

Oh, and I nearly forgot Italy. Everyone said it was a boring match V Paraguay, but I thought it was alright. Actually, the ball seemed to move ok in that match too. Maybe its something to do with when its raining that makes the ball a little heavier and less like a fly-away beach ball.

PS: Jaggedone, I was not dead. Jesus Budda never dies.
