just a general question about life, the universe etc.

Usually clicking on a hyperlink inside an MSWORD document takes one to the corresponding website ... but now getting error message: "See system admin" ... it's not that the website has evaporated - if I copy and paste the link (URL address) into my web-browser the web browser duly goes to the corresponding webpage/site.

Is there a switch or something to switch links back on?

anyone know?
tia (thanks in advance)

Usually you have to press the ctrl key when you click the link in word to get it to go to it.

What does it do? Does it open it up in an external web browser or does it open it in Word itself?

Is this a link to The Spoof or elsewhere?

I'd try googling it.

Thanks for the feedback Mark - I've since found out its happening in documents other than MSWORD -- therefore not MSWORD specific - I get an error message along the lines of: "Restrictions are in place on this computer - see systems admin". I think its a 'dll' file issue - I'm going to park the dam thing in a corner (after transfering key files to another computer).
