The way I see it...

If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Delta Airlines a little overone year ago, you would have $49.00 today.

If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in AIG a little over one year ago, you would have $33.00 today.

If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Lehman Brothers one year ago, you would have $0.00 today.

But, if you had purchased $1,000 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the aluminum cans for recycling refund, you would have received $214.00 back.
Based on the above, the best current investment plan is to drink heavily and recycle...I'm calling it my 401-Keg plan.

A recent study found that the average American walks about 900 miles a year. Another study found that Americans drink, on average, 22 gallons of alcohol a year. That means that, on average, Americans get about 41 miles to the gallon! The way I see it, it makes you proud to be an American.

If you had bought Chevron shares in 1984 when Standard Oil of California and Gulf Oil merged you'd be pretty damned pleased with yourself.

If you had sold Chevron/ExxonMobil etc those NW Australian Gorgon Field gas exploration leases/licenses - acquired from the Australian Government for a song in 1985 - for $300 billion you'd also be pretty damned pleased.

QED.

The way I see it is if you blow enough dust off of old copied ideas you wont be seeing anything at all.

Interesting.

I've never been to Cornwall, but I've heard that the pasties are very nice, and I do like Doc Martin.

I didn't realise they had tigers too. Or is that just a name?

Blimey, I drink about 22 gallons a week.

Not too sure about the 900 miles though.

Walking makes me thirsty............
