And furthermore, don't bother reading Blue Blood by Edward Conlon. Absolute and utter shit book. Boring. Best bit goes like this:
Trying to remove crazed cat from bedroom. Woman in apartment tries to burn it out. Cat goes mad. Cat runs into different room. Police chase around after cat and woman with fire. Cat returns to bedroom and stays there hissing.

If you want a great cop book then read Homicide:A Year on the Killing Streets. One of the best books I've ever read.
It has no pictures or pop-up bits but it is still good, hearty, healthy words. And entertaining!

This book is the reason people hate police. Or something.
