Woo!

Got a new coat and some waterproof trousers a couple of weeks ago.

It's not rained here proper like though for weeks, but it was just now and I got a chance to try 'em out for real on my ride home.

My old coat wasn't waterproof any more and I never had waterproof trousers. It's a much more pleasant experience.

Now all I need is wipers for my glasses.

I'll let you in on a little secret, Mark: I have never owned waterproof trousers in my entire life.

I once spent several weeks in the rain in the middle of nowhere wearing shiny tracksuit bottoms. I appreciate what you've gone through and the changes that this new coat and trousers will make to your life.

This could be the dawn of a new age. It really could.
Best of luck with your cycling adventures.

Love X, Jesus Budda

"Waterproof trousers, rubber underwear, what's the difference?" as Proust used to say.

Do you want a red plastic scarf to complete your obviously stunning outfit? I hear they are waterproof and I know some people who have hundreds of them.....

Many things could be improved by waterproofing.

Others may not.

Always use waterproofing when solving aquatic equations, or your solution may dissolve.

There's a book in this: 101 Things That Wouldn't Benefit from Waterproofing.

eg osmosis, drinking, fire-fighting.

Osmosis are from Manchester aren't they?

I think the Osmonds would be waterproof, being made out of synthetic material but I could be wrong.

Not true. Goretex works fine, and you can never be too careful at "teabag express" parties.

The Osmonds seem to have reproduced quite effectively, not sure if it was by Osmosis.

J-man used to go to the pool with them, perhaps he can help out on this.
