I think the Mail has it in for us here - I find myself lost for words. Although I wonder how some of them knew which button any caller might have been pressing. If you wish to bow up the DWP please press 2 and run! the article I have actually done this at home when a company called to recover a debt of £10 that was actually not outstanding. "If you would like to speak to somebody about your problems press one for our VD counsellor. If your call is about recovering a dbt that is already paid press 3 and wait - youwill eventually die" |

Hmmm. I smell a rat here. Someobody's having a go at a public sector organisation again. I applied to work for the DWP in Lancaster in 1995 0r 6. I would have earned about £6000 a year if I'd accepted. Fortunately something (slightly) better came up. Once when I took a call at home from one of these Indian call centres I responded by pretending to be calling out and asking them if they were the Hungarian Lighthouse Company as I wanted to buy a small lighthouse for the front garden. Hours of fun. |
