When the stuffed body of Alfred, a 7ft gorilla, disappeared from Bristol Museum in March 1956 it sparked one of the more unusual police investigations.

Which one's stuffed? And which one's the gorilla??

Alfred had been one of the prize attractions at Bristol Zoo during his 18 years in captivity. Such was his appeal that after his death in 1946 he was stuffed and mounted*** in a glass case at the museum.

Story

***Maybe before his RIP, too?

Thanks for that QM

Classic story.

I saw an albino gorilla at Barcelona zoo. They called him 'Floquet De Nou'

He died a couple of years ago and the entire city mourned. He'd become a symbol of the city. I don't know if they had him stuffed, but he was a big bugger.

Regards

Skoob.

Wow, Oprah Winfrey posed for a photo with three of her co-workers. That was nice of her.

I was curious so I looked up the names of the four in the photo. (L to R) Justin Timberlake, Chuy (aka El Chango), Alec Baldwin, and Dean West.

Hasta Las Bananas,
Abel

Hey Skoob I didn't say a thing, don't know any Gorillas accept the one in Blur and he's not Spanish, maybe you got mixed up with Puzol!
