In an attempt to spare blushes, a council official suggested it was called Tittle Cott bridge and a plaque bearing the sanitised name was erected.

Castleford Area Voice for the Elderly, an over 50s group in the town, took exception to the re-writing of history and went into battle.

So, suits formed partnerships across the table, but their bid ended when residents (who would not be tricked into taking Tittle Cott) trumped them.

Guess the dummies should have known a name change wasn't in the cards for the 52+ crowd.

Which reminds me: Never tickle your cock while playing bridge. He'll poke your hand with his pecker, then crow when the chocolate-covered nuts have been exhausted.
