Hello QM,

Perhaps the problem presents itself with the embedding of links into text(s). This happened a couple or few days ago with another link you posted. I thought it was a problem with all of the Forums and threads. It was an isolated problem. Mark did a fix on that one as he did on this.

I don't know if this is what caused the problem. Perhaps Mark can, in some spare time, enlighten us all and in particular, Moi, in how to embed a link. Or perhaps someone who is a puter wiz could do the same??

Be well,

Jim

Yeah, if you add a link with a really long single word it cocks up. I'll fix it at some point.

As for adding links, you can click on the "link" button on the toolbar and it'll take you through it.

I believe this may not work on all browsers, but should on most.

QM:

Us chickens in the east-coast mid Atlantic states have anywhere from 24" to 40" (more in the mountains) of the white stuff, which is pretty unusual for here.

With the drifts I had to take out the glass in the storm door to shovel it away from the door, to open the door. Then I had to dig out the walk. Small electric snow blower was useless!

And it's still coming down!

Snow storm could bring eight inches ... or just a dusting

I expect we'll be getting your lousy weather here in UK next; maybe it's a good thing though, keeping any wannabe breast implant bombers tucked up in Mogadishu or Aden or wherever the current exploding booby HQ might be...

Hello QM, Phil Mac,

I hope they keep all those bombers in the boobie hatch traps. I hope ya's don't get any of that nasty white stuff across the pond. At least not in the amounts PM got in his neck of the woods. Luckily, here in NEPA we got nothing, zip, nada, the big 0. It's all in the jet stream. It was a hundred miles South of us and along the coast. They got hammered. Another storm headed out of the Gulf of Mexico and up the Atlantic Coast Tuesday into Wednesday. Looks like we won't get lucky with that one. It's colder than a witch's ass though today. The cold comes out of the Canada when the jet-stream dips to the South. It looks like a great snake making its way from the Arctic and West Coast all the way to the East Coast. (about three thousand miles). Them damn Ice cube Farmer Cannucks have a great sense of humour!

Be as well as you both can be,

Jim

Does it help with getting a ride?

Try that sort of malarkey on the M25 in South London and you'd probably get a lift from the Yorkshire Ripper!

I've been living through this snow-storm that hit the Eastern seaboard of the USA - and my area has, so I understand, received well over 8 inches of snow - the local news channels are reporting something like 20 inches or so. Also there was thunder last night - thunder during a snow storm! There were very few people on the roads Saturday, but tomorrow it should start to get back to normal - the snow ploughs are clearing the roads ASAP - they have been at it all day and all last night, a whole range of bobcats in the parking lot, huge snow ploughs/gritters on the streets and contract large pick up trucks in the shopping parking lots. The snow ploughs usually also distribute salt/grit onto the roads/parking lots - dual function.
