I picked "other." I think that the creature that is responsible for more human deaths than any other is the infamous "Homo Sapiens Politicianus."

The animal responsible for more human deaths than any other, including Homo Sapiens is Plasmodium falciparum a parasite that uses the mosquito as stages one and two in it's life cycle, unfortunately, stages three and four require a human host and we call it malaria.

It kills one million people annually.

Iain,

Go straight to the top of the class.

Pass Go and put a hotel on Mayfair.

Well done.

You are of course spot on, but now you've buggered up the poll!

Regards

Skoob.

I didn't know malaria was caused by a parasite.

I had a parasite once. An intestinal one. Nasty business that.

Maybe that could be a question! What intestinal parasite did MB have?

That's amazing how malaria kills exactly 1 million people a year. How does it know when it gets to 1 million? Has it ever gone to 1 million and 1, like I always do when I'm at the petrol station. Always £20.01 never £20 exactly!! Grrr.

Does it kill extra people in a leap year? Enquiring minds want to know!

It has a hive mind, and it stops on 1 million, regardless of where it is, so if it reaches it's quota in November, there's no cases in December.

It's far cleverer than Smallpox, we wiped that one out...

There are many - innocently caught please be assured MB.Mostly through dodgy water or uncooked meat.

In fact did you know that the use of DDT could eradicate malaria altogether. Another case of the third World suffering just because of problems we have found of some accumulation in the food chain. More dodgy data dealing from the eco-nazis who prefer the kids to die than to live.

Apparently hippos are quite lethal as well and cause more deaths than rhinos.

It's a good thing they do not transmit malaria.

Yes, I think that's something we can all be thankful for.

I wish I'd have thought to say that at Thanksgiving dinner when we had to say what we were thankful for. I said something stupid about not being homeless.

Can you add Plasmodium falciparum to the poll choices?

I really want to take part in the vote, but feel it would be a wasted vote if I had to choose one of the incorrect answers.

Malaria always leaves a Ruandan in agony

Plasmodium lays awaiting, silently mosquitoes offer death's inevitability up to men

Wouldn't fit in the box would it?

Falciparum a living calvary injected always rife ultra mare

It was Chamone. She crawled up your ass and into your colon and died.

I say it's 'other' cause I bet there's a real lary bastard out there that's killed more than malaria.

A mixamatosed rabbit living in a commune for example.

Infanticide, patricide, matricide, rabbittocide, the lot...........

I've had malaria and it didn't kill me. I've also had aeombic dysentery, and it didn't kill me. Only poor people die of crap like that.

Besides. bugs ain't anumals; they ain't even critters. You cain't pet em, cain't screw em, they don't count.

Ain't no hippos in these har hills, by God. But there is armed idiots. For my money, people kill more people than any goddamned critter.

So there, smarty-pants.

Don't drink the water, fish fuck in it!
