Glen Davis (professional basketball player):

"Michelangelo is a, first of all, talented man. But he's also crazy, because there's no way I would take six years painting a ceiling that's at least 30 or 40 feet high in the air. But I guess you do what you've got to do, and I just want to commend Michelangelo. But I heard the man was crazy, though he's definitely a beautiful artist."

I hate The Sistine Chapel Doc.

After a while your neck really hurts from all that looking up. And the anti-photography guards are too much on point.

In the Galleria Nazionale by Piazza Barberini they have a mighty impressive ceiling fresco, but there they have recliners so you can enjoy the fresco in relative comfort.

Palazzo Barberini. Not quite as famous but much more comfortable.

Regards

Skoob.

Skoob, if you and Vic would get on board in Bordello Falls, you could admire
the work Fergus did in the community privy, on the ceiling, which is only 5'6" tall....nice clouds too...

Morse and Skoob

In Mali village elders used to meet in a hut with a low ceiling so that if anybody stood up in anger they would hurt their head.

True comedy, nyuk, nyuk.

Good idea Skoob,

Remember the movie the Agony and the Ecstasy?

They could remake it with dentists set up shop in the Sistine Chapel.

I did a story about the 'Changing Rooms' team giving the Sistine Chapel and The Raphael Rooms a makeover, really pissing the Pope off in the process.

Wasn't a great success, but I liked it.

I'm thinking on the Sistine Latrine.

Not sure what to do with it yet.

I could suggest something Doc, but it probably wouldn't be politically correct

Fair point Doc, but at the end of the day, a latrine is a latrine.

Whichever way you look at it.

Just don't sell scratch 'n' sniff cards.

Skoob.
