... the wrongly named Anagram thread.

And like all great things it also has a spin-off! Of course like all spin-offs it's not nearly as good as the original.

From the other thread, that. And, because I am clever, I removed it to this thread, in order that I could ask the question:

"Are all spinoffs shitter than the original?"

I know most are as Trixie says, but there must be some spinoffs that were as good as, or better than, the original.

Discuss them here.

Please.

If it's not too much trouble.

I was on the telly the other day.

Nah, I already explained it to Mark. I went to see the Thai King in his hospital bed, as he's been having a rough old time of it of late.

They didn't recognise me, and wouldn't let me in, but did ask me to sign the well-wishers book. As I did so, I was approached by the TV crew of Channel 7 who couldn't understand why a foreigner would have come to see the King. They filmed a little interview for posterity.

Naturally, I can't find it on the internet, but someone told me they did see it on the news on Monday night.

Hope he gets better. There'll be trouble if he doesn't...

I've been pondering this for a while, then I came up with one...then two more: The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine and Voyager.

All power to the engines!

Frasier, which to me was far better than Cheers, although maybe I just didn't get Cheers.

Good one Jimbo. I may have been too young to get Cheers, but Frasier is good.

Well the thing about Cheers is it was the "place where everybody knows your name."

And as any career criminal will tell you, this cannot be a good place.

I know this one falls into the sequal category, but I thought that the second The Godfather was better than the first.
