Best fish and chips I ever tasted were in Brighton. We got 'em from a chippy almost opposite the pier. Believe it was run by some Greek gents. Lovely inch thick cod fillet in succulent non greasy batter, and thick cut chips cooked to perfection. Salt and malt - culinary paradise.
Or maybe I'm just a pleb. Regards Skoob. |

What you saying here Doc? You want me to list the best chippies?
Most of them are pretty standard, but the one in Brighton was outstanding. Another one was Bob Bird's in Burnley, Lancashire. But if you discount exceptions, it's like asking where you had your best McDonalds. Regards Skoob. |

Skoob:
When I was a teenager I used to go to Brighton Beach in Coney Island, in the borough of Brooklyn in New York City. Nathan's hot dogs and the greasiest french fries (chips) you ever did want to eat! Unfortunately I never did get to your Brighton in the UK. You have been to NY city did you ever get to our Coney Island? Philbert |
