So far not.

Have we hit the Mississipi yet?

Morse

Stunning good comedian from Britain, paralyzes me.

Go to You Tube and type in Jack Dee.

He has many good bits at the Apollo listed.

Maybe you can be his American manager.

I'll endorse the Doc on this one.

Jack Dee is a diminutive Brit comedian, renowned for being a grumpy bastard.

He is brilliant.

Check him out.

Regards

Skoob.

Victor/Skoob:

Has something changed relative to British humor content?

When my kids were teenagers we always watched Monty Python, later Fawlty Towers and some Benny Hill.

That was also the early era of Saturday Night Live (1970's) Are you familiar with SNL?

Not really Philbert.

From what I can gather, SNL was very much American centred humour. It doesn't travel all that well if it's political or topical.

We became aware of former SNL stars as they emerged into the international mainstream, people like John Belushi, but SNL is really too US-centric to appeal to an international audience.

Brit humour is alive and kicking. Plenty of it around.

Regards

Skoob.

Lorne Michaels and Dan Akroyd of early SNL are Canadians, so is Mike Myers.

SNL's crash and burn style would travel well overseas for the most part except for localized references to such things as mocking governors of New York etc. and having them walk on and off the set but the same would happen for Brit humour of local politicians.

Some like non-joky British humour by Noel Fielding, clip below. People either like him or hate what he does.

VC knows why I'll put my oar in here!

Jack is one of those comedians who doesn't need props, flashy dress, images or filth (sometimes) he just cracks on about the little things in life which, everybody does! His aura is mega and as soon as he hits the stage the people are falling in the aisles with laughter, naturally brilliant!

It's a fine art to be so minimalistic and move the people so brilliantly!

Class act just like VC's one-lining!
