As this is a comedy website, I think it would be fair to say that we must all admire certain comedy stalwarts.

Here's a few of my all time favourites:

Groucho Marx

Laurel and Hardy (If Stan was around these days how much would he charge to make a movie?)

Billy Connolly

Richard Pryor

Peter Kay

Mel Brooks

The Pythons

Paul Whitehouse

Dennis Leary

Jack Dee

Lee Mack

Dara O'Breien

And some favourite exponents of humour in the written word:

Tom Sharpe

Richard Price

Terry Pratchett

Richard Brautigan

There are some of mine. I'll probably think of more. All these people have brought great joy into my life.

Also, the Spoof gang, most of you anyway.

And the Viz Comic guys.

Regards

Skoob.

When Woody Allen was writing (back in the 60's and early 70's before he got serious), his books were some of the funniest stuff out there.

I also enjoy reading Tom Bodett. His stuff about End of the Road, Alaska is just hilarious.

That's a new one on me J-Man.

Any further info?

Because if you're backing it then it must be worth a look.

Hitler and Mussolini, great double act, I used to piss my pants as a kid watching Norman Wisdom and the early carry ons, Kenneth Williams, pure genius!
