Err

Maybe because they can't lock their doors, because they don't have doors.

Skoob.

Fucking dumb question.

I'd like to spoof this, but it's already funny enough - even the accompanying image.

Perhaps this is an example of Life imitating The Spoof!

Only the hobos ever explode in public.

Roof-over-the-headers too embarrased to admit to behind the curtains combustions.

I worked for a time looking after these people.

They may not be to everybody's taste, but they are people.

If you want to criticise, try going at it from the sharp end. I did. And I met some genuinely nice people, some of whom have moved on and made lives for themselves. Some of whom fell by the wayside.

I gave it up. It was a tough call, and I felt I couldn't do it justice. It started to intrude on my private life. But I'll never regret doing it. Sometimes I come across former clients that I helped, and there's no kind of job satisfaction to match that.

I worked in the "care" business for a year. It was an experience I think that everybody should be made aware of.

It's tough, the pay is crap, the personal risk is high, but until you do it you have no idea.

Regards

Skoob.

Actually, one got the back of his head smashed in with a baseball bat, and another died of an overdose in a car park.

Still feeling so clever and superior?

QM

I get the impression that you don't particularly like me, which is your perogative. I can deal with that.

May I suggest we just leave it at that?

I have no intention of engaging you in a war of words.

You just appear to have been unreasonably hostile to me of late.

An example being your remarks on this thread.

Skoob.

Fuck off Fergus.

I am of course joking in my stupid thick headed way.

Mrs Skoob thinks I'm getting out of control and going mental. She's probably right. Regards to the family.

Unreserved apologies QM.

I was doing two or three different things at the same time and somehow short circuited. I bear you no malice whatsoever. You post some great links in the forum to news stories and I appreciate that you take the time and trouble to do that.

I have a genuine affection for all the writers on this site (yeah, you too SFO, you're included in that too) and my offer to buy any Spoofer who visits my neck of the woods a drink always stands. (Morse will verify this.)

I honestly don't know what I was thinking when I accused you of not liking me. That was presumptuous in the extreme. I think I got the wrong end of the stick from one of your postings, which wasn't, upon rereading it even aimed at me.

As I said, I apologise unreservedly for any offence caused.

If I may be so bold as to say, that was uncharacteristic of me and not truly representative. I'm usually a very jovial sort of chap.

So sorry. Sometimes I get things wrong and react when I would be better placed giving a little more consideration.

Sincerely

Skoob.

I think I owe you one too Fergus.

Sorry mate.

As I explained to QM I was doing too many things at once and got my wires crossed.

I'm not usually a grouch, quite the opposite in fact.

Sorry for being a jerk Fergus.

Sincerely

Skoob.

And money Skoob. I think I deserve compensation too.

I was very upset by it all.
