I've just been watching FOX NEWS, a channel made available to us via the cable link in our condominium.
The show I saw was Glenn Beck. Pretty funny guy, I thought, but, as I've said before, I've only got a small brain, and I might be missing something. This guy definitely doesn't like Barack Obama. He gave a long presentation on Obama, and it wasn't for the faint-hearted. Anyone else seen this? Jman/ QM? |

MW, Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter are other great satirists in a long line of conservative comedians. Great material all! Sometimes when The Family Guy's humor isn't offensive or tasteless enough, I switch over to FOX news. The problem is, many of their biggest fans don't even get the jokes, and think they are being serious. ![]() |

Hello, SFO. I'm glad you've come on this thread. I've been waiting to talk to you.
That show is very entertaining. They ripped Obama apart in a special birthday celebration show, then tore apart an Islamic school somewhere in the US, though I can't remember where. Next up was a piece about Healthcare and how the US healthcare system is on the brink of collapse. Throughout, the presenter, Glenn Beck, hammed-up the news, spooflike. Brilliant. Don't know if I'll get to see it every day, but I'll try. |

Hey MW.......Watch the O'Reilly Report on FOX. It's usually on target and he does hammer guests with tough questions. Another FOX commentator that is fun to watch and has talent for getting to the core is Huckabee. Pretty down to earth guy.
Beck is OK, but pretty much a 'self promoter.' As far as Limbaugh/Coulter not much of a fan of either. They tend to dance around some issues that never get beyond the 'making fun' stage. Sorta like the dweebish, semi-funny guy on HBO Bill Maher. |

I'll do my best, but, as an introduction, Beck seemed a pretty decent act to me.
In the UK, we have shows like Have I Got News For You which routinely rip the piss out of those in power, but this was piss-ripping dressed up as 'the News', which was a twist for me. I'll be looking in again whenever I can. |

In the late 80's, KERA (the PBS station out of Dallas, TX) aired some C-SPAN-like footage of British politians hissing and booing each other, even throwing crumpled-up papers... sort of like real news about those in power piss-ripping each other, which was a twist for me. |

Hey, SFO
You ever want to see juvenile delinquency, go in the public gallery at the House Of Commons in Westminster. My grandkids behave better. And they have better manners. Regards Matey Skoob |

Condominium? You mean a flat that's arse backwards with the upstairs downstairs, and the downstairs upstairs? Just wondered... Skoob. |

Nah, I could've said 'apartment' or 'flat'. All on one floor.
Moving to a bigger one soon - 3 bedrooms. No pool though - that's a bummer. |

Good luck with it Monkey. It's almost 7am here and I'm sort of worn out. No more work until next Tuesday, so it doesn't matter. Met Morse today, thoroughly enjoyed it. Picking grandaughter up tomorrow, so we'll probably end up watching crap movies into the night. Pool? Why would you want a pool? Don't tell me it's for swimming in. You still think you're a fanny magnet don't you? You dirty old man. Just kidding Monkey. Hope it all pans out for you and the family. Take care Skoob (Your favourite Manchester United fan) |
